Fun holiday atmosphere with the light show show. A real gem. Nice menu items and interesting drinks. A busy spot this time of year.

Gosh I love this place. It is so fun with a laid back and rustic feel but surprisingly delicious mixed drinks and food. I love fish and chips and theirs are very good, as are their burgers. My husband and I have loved coming here the past few years to see their Christmas light show which is really something eclectic and special and I would recommend it to about anyone who I'd consider a friend. Super friendly staff. My one and only complaint is that I wish I could bring my kids here...if not for anything other than for them to see the light show because they would love it too. But I do get why it's 21 and up...

I had such a fantastic time at Bait Shop! The staff was super friendly, making us feel welcome as soon as we walked in. The vibe inside was very impressive, especially with the full-on Halloween decorations that transformed the bar. It was like stepping into a spooky wonderland, with cobwebs, creepy lights, and eerie touches all over. Some of the drinks even played along with the Halloween theme, like the Zombie No. 2, which was served in a scream-inspired glass that made it feel like a prop straight out of a haunted house! A few of my friends and I also ordered the Blue Hawaiian to share, and it was also really good. Bait Shop nailed it with both the drinks and the vibe, and I'll definitely be coming back for another round, especially around the holidays when they deck it out like this!

After a long day going to shops at Capitol Hill, this is a great dive bar to just sit and relax and fuel up for the next day. Amazing amazing service, the waiters and waitresses here are so friendly, made me feel super comfortable! The fish and chips were very delicious! I liked how light the batter of the fish was and the chips were so good. The fried bologna sandwich was heavy, don't know if I would order it again but it definitely had great flavor. They have a Photo Booth in the back and it's great for travelers coming out of state!

Went to the bait shop for their Christmas pop up bar and really enjoyed it. I think you can tell a lot about a place by the holiday themed time even though it's only like that for a month. Every hour they do a light show which was wild, I thought that was so cool! And the live grinch at the fire etc Drinks were good and speciality themed as well which I always love

I have not been feeling very in the Xmas spirit, so went to Bait Shop in hopes of being cheered, and it helped! Bait Shop is currently very decked out for the holidays and they do a "light show" hourly, which was very fun. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We got some nachos and fries and everything was perfectly tasty. We're not drinkers so just got some ginger beer. There were several non alcoholic options but I did wish there had been a non alcoholic cocktail or two. But all in all, a great experience at a bar with nice cozy vibes.

Not much to say but service was exceptional! Haven't been here in years and I can't tell if this place expanded or I just forgot. Our server was great! My friend and I was just catching up. Drinks were good and so was food. Will be back when I can!!

Great spot in Cap Hill to grab some drinks and bar snacks with friends. I came here on a weekday night and was able to find seating almost immediately! The staff was friendly and attentive in taking our orders and also getting the drinks to us relatively quickly! It was a little loud as they were blasting music but it was not overwhelming. The decor is a bit odd but it fits the overall eclectic theme of the bar. I ordered the buffalo and lemon pepper wings and they were very tasty! I would definitely come back again if I'm ever in the area! Parking: Paid street parking (a little hard to come by since this is the heart of cap hill)

Food - pretty good! We had fries, wings, and the elote. They had some vegetarian options which I appreciated. Drinks - AMAZING! The seasonal drinks were so good and one of them comes in a little bathtub! Probably wouldn't go out of my way for the food but would very much go out of my way for the drinks. Service - probably some of the best service I've had in Seattle. Our server was kind, attentive, and very genuine. She got us everything we needed, answered questions, and made great recommendations. They were pretty busy and I felt she was above and beyond attentive. Also appreciate that they IDed at the door. Ambiance - it's decorated as the name implies! Lots of fish and kitschy stuff, including a curtain with Jeff Goldblum. Some of the fish have hats. They played a lot of great music too like Sum 41 and indie rock. The vibe was pretty chill, and it didn't feel overly loud or crowded but still felt like everyone was having a good time and it was a full house. Would recommend for a fun stop for drinks and maybe some late night snacks.
